Stories Coconuts Tell

For almost a century, Kuna livelihood in the archipelago of San Blas (Panama) has relied increasingly on the exchange of coconuts for various commodities brought by Colombian ships. Coconut exchange is both the catalyst and a faithful witness of the social transformations occurred in the Mulatupu-Sasardi island community since then.

"Stories Coconuts Tells" is an ethnographic documentary about the social life and cultural trajectory of a commodity: the coconut.
